E-clips services currently uses RealMedia technology to serve video and audio information. If you are having problems while attempting to view/listen to the video/audiuo clips then here is a short quick check list:

1. Basic Requirements:

  • Your computer must have a soundcard (A device that your computer uses to produce/play sound)
  • You must have speakers. Ensure that they are correctly connected (some computers have builtin ones)
  • A web browser (e.g. IE 5.0, Netscape 4.7 or newer)
  • Internet connectivity-make sure your connection is actually working by browsing other websites such as: http://www.cnn.comhttp://www.real.com,  e.t.c.

2.  Computer sound system:
Make sure that the sound drivers for your computer are correctly installed and that you can atleast listen to sound files located in your computer.  If you are running Windows 95 or 98 try to doubled-click on any file with extension .wav in C:\windows\Media directory.  You should be able to hear the sound when the media file is opened.


3. Real-logo RealPlayer:
You must have  RealPlayer version 8 or newer installed on your computer. You can download a free version from the internet at http://www.real.com/
Once this is set you should be able to veiw/listen to real media files after clicking at the links at mediacentral


4.  If  you are sure that sound setup of your computer is OK and yet the realplayer launches and gives an error message please note it down and type it into the text form below to request for support:
